    1. Possess an MBBS / BDS AYUSH with a post graduate degree or diploma in Public Health/Epidemiology/IT/Communications.

    2. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Job Responsibility

  1. Support states in implementing Community Processes (CP) interventions and Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) components as required at National and State Level.
  2. Support states in rolling out all components of the Health and Wellness Center teams through enabling translation of policy into programme, enabling adaption to varying contexts,
  3. Support the strengthening of district and state level training sites/ programme study centers and ASHA certification process.
  4. Enable states and district support to implement a comprehensive primary health care services including operationalizing HWCs and rolling out universal screening of NCDs.
  5. Help states plan the scaling up of the Bridge Course for Mid Level Health Providers and the processes for ASHA certification.
  6. Provide hands on, field-based support at state and district levels for training, performance monitoring, strengthening support structures for improving Health and Wellness center teams and of ASHA, VHSNC / MAS.
  7. Assessing state and district level innovations in CPHC for scaling up.
  8. Support states in implementing training and undertaking supervisory support, including intersectoral convergence for platforms created for public participation- Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Committees (VHSNC), MahilaArogyaSamitis (MAS), and RogiKalyanSamities (RKS)
  9. Undertake periodic field visits to states and districts to review programme implementation in the States, identify implementation challenges and support states in charting appropriate solutions or enable linkages with appropriate public health/research/academic/technical/support institutions for technical support on CP/CPHC at the State/District Level.
  10. Contribute in writing programme specific operational guidelines; technical and policy briefs, training material, reports, casestudies, monitoring checklists/protocols etc.
  11. Support in undertaking operational research and impact assessments for improving design of CP and CPHC interventions.
  12. Undertake such other assignments, which may be assigned by from time to time by the Advisor/Community Processes

Experience

  • Experience Essential

    1. Have at least 3 years post-qualification experience in implementation of health programmes, including community health
    2. Experience in direct implementation of health service delivery programmes through government, NGOs or Regional Resource Centres.
    3. Experience in one or all of the following: documentation, data analysis, and training.
  • Experience Desirable

    1. Demonstrated experience in working with NGO led Primary Health Care/Community Health Worker programs/state level public health programmes
